Surface design has always played a large part in Robyn’s working career as well as being a hobby. From working on clothing ranges for some of Sydney’s well known fashion companies to a role as a surface designer with the Longina Phillips Textile Studio, colour and composition are intrinsically part of who Robyn is.
With websites like Redbubble and Society6 arriving on the scene, it has given designers like her the opportunity to create pieces that can be made for one order or many. Gone are the days where artists had to have samples made and minimums had to be reached to place an order. Robyn has embraced this new technology and is creating new designs weekly and is achieving great sales and feedback. “It’s a very exciting time for artists like me to be able to embrace this new world”. Please follow the link to Redbubble and take a look at my products.
She has embraced technology and uses it to create designs which can be adapted to many products. If you would like to collaborate or contact Robyn for licensing opportunities, please make contact via the email link.
“The opportunities are endless and I would love to create something for you. I think the days of mass producing everything is going to change. Consumers will realise that there are ways to get something made and there might only be one ever made. We may pay a bit more for it but it won’t end up as landfill.”
